Being aware of the benefits of peanut butter or peanuts as a whole I wanted to make it a part of my diet. But, addition with sugar, flavours and emulsifiers or oils made me think always that peanut butter available in the market was unhealthy to consume. I searched for peanut butter recipe and was ready to have homemade peanut butter but ultimately I ended up using Asitis peanut butter!
Is Peanut butter good for health?
Peanut Butter is a great choice, when it comes to adopting a healthy lifestyle. It is a good source of plant protein as well as it contains healthy fats, fibre, vitamins and minerals. If you are not aware about its benefits read: Nutrition Facts about peanut butter.
Finding organic, wholesome additives free foods in the market is a tough task. Being skeptical with respect to the claims made by companies I just couldn’t trust anyone and decided to depend on my homemade stuff! I looked for organic peanuts and then tried making peanut butter myself.
Why I couldn’t stick to homemade peanut butter for long?
I won’t say that you can’t make it at home. The problem might be just any:
- Everyone does not have a superb food processor that will grind your peanuts into a smooth paste as seen in the really delectable pics!
- Not everyone has enough time to carry out this task.
- Not everyone is a pro. You might just be clumsy with that kitchen and recipe thing, and make a mess out of all your raw peanuts and not be able to get the desired butter!
What I felt after giving several tries?
Some peanut butter recipes are easy as a cake walk. They just ask you to keep grinding them. Add salt and you’re done! Is it that easy? This process reminded me of the proverb ‘Easier said than done!’ 🙁
While other recipes tell you to roast peanuts or deep fry them to your taste preference. Keep on grindng them in batches (since you won’t take one or two cups peanuts). Add honey, flavouring agents , and salt as per your choice. Phew! None of these recipes got me the rich and smooth peanut butter I saw in pics posted on cooking websites.
And above all, it took away a lot of time! Since I had personally failed in finding a trustworthy all natural alternative to homemade peanut butter, I was stuck with whatever I could make.
NOTE: I do not say that everyone will fail in making peanut butter at home or no one would like the taste of the home made one. I am sharing my personal views with a thought that may be some of you might have faced the same issue.
It is true that every one has their personal best, and the parameters by which they find the best solution may differ. What I wanted was an organic one, having zero cholestrol, no flavours or sugar. In a nutshell I just wanted the replacement of a home made one.
For me, it was Asitis peanut butter.
Let’s find out how I stumbled upon this option? (Asitis Nutrition peanut butter: My personal favourite)
An Indian Whey protein brand Asitis launched its peanut butter that came straightaway to my rescue! Many of my friends and relatives have been using Asits whey protein and told me about the precision and caution with which they make their products. This company literally won everyone’s trust. Being an Indian brand that was very economical and it caught my attention too.
With my busy lifestyle, I now wanted to save on my time. I just didn’t have the patience to have anymore of homemade peanut butter. I ordered it from ‘Asitis’ And to my surprise it was a genuine product, it stood by its claims and was really close to natural peanut butter.
So, now I just relax and order one online! 🙂
The company hasn’t got brand value out of just nowhere, it has solid grounds for making reliable, healthy, and safe health products. They have a transparent culture owing to which they provide a lab test report of their products. It satisfies skeptical individuals like me.
And not only evidence but, personal use of the product will prove its worth. They really stand true to their claims.
Their peanut butter is made of roasted ‘Organic Peanuts’ only. That is the only thing they put inside their box of butter. It tastes good, just the way a natural peanut butter should. It comes in two versions: Creamy and crunchy flavour.
